How far in advance to orders need to be placed?

We kindly request that you place your orders at least 2 business days in advance for anything in our collection. Orders for the weekend are accepted through Thursday.

For all custom orders, we recommend contacting us at least two weeks ahead of time. All custom orders need to be placed and confirmed a full week in advance.

How long is shipping?

We ship overnight, so it's delivered the day you request. 

Are you a nut free facility?

No, we are not nut free. However, we use few nuts and are careful to prevent cross contamination. We do not put nuts into any of our cakes.

Do you have a catering menu?

Yes! Please send us a message at contact@padocabakery.com for all catering inquiries.

How can I order for a corporate/school event? What are the options?

We love doing corporate and school events! Please send us a message at contact@padocabakery.com. Whether you're looking for platters of muffins or individually wrapped cookies, we're excited to make them for you!

Which products are gluten free?

We are not a Gluten Free facility but we are careful about cross contamination. Our gluten free products include: PDQs, Macaroons, Banana Chocolate Muffins (and loaves!)

Do you make any vegan products?

Yes, our Double Chocolate Muffin and Loaves are vegan! So are the Apple Cider Donuts found in stores.

When can I pick up my order?

All orders will be ready to pick up between 11am - 3:30pm at the store on the date of your choice (at least 2 days after your order is placed), Monday through Sunday. Please note we are open Monday - Saturday only in SoHo.  Or if you prefer delivery, we'll arrange to have it delivered between 10am - 3pm.  Kindly let us know if you need something outside of this time range, or during a specific 2 hour window. 

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy ?

Oh no, did something come up?
We are gladly able to accept cancellations, rescheduling and changes up to 72 hours before the morning of your scheduled pick up (during office hours). Unfortunately, because of all the planning we do to make sure your celebration is perfect, we are unable to accept changes outside of this window.

What is a PDQ®?

We've coined the name PDQ®, commonly known as Pao de Queijo! A PDQ® is a Brazilian Cheese Bread! Naturally gluten free (made with cassava flour!), warm and cheesy. Soft on the inside, slight crunch on the outside. We can't wait for you to Cheese the Day with us! 

Are all PDQ®s gluten free?

Yes, all of our PDQs are naturally gluten free.  We use Cassava Flour! 

How do you bake frozen PDQ®s?

Great question! We love serving warm, just baked PDQ®s in store for you everyday! But we get that sometimes the craving hits when you can't leave your house. 

We also know that our PDQ®s make great sandwiches, snacks, or dinner rolls.  So it's always good to have a few on hand! Which is why we sell our Frozen Packs. 

Super easy to bake at home! 

Regular Size PDQ®s:

Place your PDQ®s on a cookie sheet 1" apart

Bake at 375 for 32-40 minutes or until golden brown! 

Mini Size PDQs:

Place your PDQ®s on a cookie sheet 1" apart

Bake at 375 for 25 minutes or until golden brown!

How far in advance do I need to order a cake?

We kindly request that you place your orders at least 2 days in advance. 

Are your cakes sold in stores everyday?

Yes, we do have 4" and 6" cakes available everyday in both locations.  However, they do sell out quickly! If you have your heart set on a specific cake, we recommend you pre-order.  We will have it ready for you at the store of your preference for pick up! 

How long will my cake stay fresh? My party is on Sunday, but I'm picking up on Friday.

We bake each cake specifically to order, so you're always getting the freshest made cake around. Keep the cake in the fridge overnight to maintain freshness and allow it to come to room temperature on the counter for about 2 hours before enjoying!

What are your cake sizes? And, how many people do they serve?

4" Cakes - Serves 2 - 4

6" Cakes - Serves 8-10

8" Cakes - Serves 16 - 20 

10" Cakes - Serve 24 - 30

Sheet Cakes - Serve 50

Do I need to refrigerate my cake?

Yes, all cakes should be refrigerated but should come to room temperature for up to 2 hours before enjoying! 

How do I store leftover cake?

Leftover cake?!?! That's serious control! It will stay well in the fridge for up to 5 days. Best to leave it covered - either in its box, or in a food storage container.

How do I order a theme cake? Do you use fondant?

We love dressing a cake to a party theme.  Please provide us with any figurines and we will work our magic matching the icing and sprinkles!

What is a smash cake?

A tiny cake meant to be cherished on your kiddo's first birthday! And, since one-year-olds are pretty much lawless they dig in using their fingers, toes or smashing their face.  AKA- the best day of your tiny human's life! 

Do you make wedding cakes?

Why don't we use fondant?

No, we don't use fondant as it doesn't live up to our standards in quality and taste of ingredients.

Do you offer sugar free cakes?

We do not make sure free cakes. While our cakes aren't overly sweet, we do need a little sugar in our world!

Do you offer vegan cakes?

We do not make vegan cakes. We can do an Egg Free Vanilla Cake (if dairy is okay). Please reach out at Contact@padocabakery.com to talk to us about it!

How big is a sheet cake?

Our sheet cake is 13" x 18" and serves around 50 people. Its made up of two layers of cake with a layer of filling between.

Do you offer cake inscriptions?

Yes! We love adding inscriptions. Please let us know what celebratory message you'd like us to include in the notes section on your order, or email us at contact@padocabakery.com!

Is there cake inside the cookie cakes?

It really is layers of cookies and filling and no actual cake!

How do you store the cookie cake?

Treat as a regular cake - keep in the fridge and allow to come to room temperature on the counter for 1 hour or so before enjoying. We do recommend slicing with a serrated knife.

What is the difference between mini cupcakes and regular size cupcakes?

Mini cupcakes are bite size, like a 2/3 bite. Regular sized cupcakes are much larger, more of a standard size.
